Nabi (s.a.w) said, "Stay away from lies."
A simple sentence, consists of only 3 words in Arabic and 4 in English. Seems like a simple piece of advise and easy to follow.
However, if it's taken as simple as it seems, it becomes difficult. If one looks at the method and approach towards his words, following the Hadeeth becomes easy resulting in success in all matters.
The common alternative is "Do not lie." This is directly towards the action itself. Look at the beautiful words of Nabi (s.a.w). "Stay away from lies." Indicating towards any action which can lead to lies. Everyone knows that one lie leads to another, yet they lie. Building a habit towards a clean and pure living where anything which can lead to a lie is avoided would be acting towards this Hadeeth. The material side of worldly ways may seem negative in result to this Hadeeth but the outcome is always greater.
Avoiding a lie is not only saving yourself. When you know someone is spreading a lie or they will lie from their current action, they should be reminded and stopped if possible from putting themself in that position in future. Insha-Allah when this is done, there will be very less if not any situations where one will turn to lies to save themself from the past mistake.
This approach in the Hadeeth above has also been said regarding jealousy, incorrect innovations, doubts etc.
The overall conclusion is to stay firm and steadfast in pure ways to avoid any evil which can occur due to an incorrect action.
May Allah (s.w.t) give us the ability to become truthful and trustworthy. Ameen 0 comments - Read - Write
